Pharmacy Laboratories

The Chandra Shekhar Singh College of Pharmacy (CSSCP) is proud to house a wide range of state-of the-art laboratories that provide students with hands-on training, practical exposure, and research opportunities in every major branch of pharmaceutical sciences. Our laboratories are meticulously designed to meet and exceed the standards laid down by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), ensuring that students pursuing Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programs (D.Pharm, B.Pharm, andM.Pharm) are well-prepared for both academic excellence and industry requirements.

We have well-established laboratories for every core area of pharmacy, including:

Pharmaceutics Lab – Focused on formulation development, dosage form design, and industrial-scalepractices.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab – Equipped for synthesis, analysis, and characterizationof drugmolecules.

Pharmacology Lab – Provides facilities for experimental pharmacology, toxicology, and drug screening studies (software based).

Pharmacognosy & Natural Products Lab – Dedicated to the study of medicinal plants, herbal drugs,and phytochemistry.

Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab – Houses advanced instruments for quality control and standardization.

Microbiology & Biotechnology Lab – Designed for microbial culture, sterilization techniques, and biotechnology applications.

Quality Assurance Lab – Specially designed for postgraduate students to study validation, GMP compliance, and regulatory aspects.

Industrial Pharmacy Lab – Mimics pharmaceutical industry settings to give students hands-on industrial exposure.

Anatomy, Physiology & Pathophysiology (APHE) Lab – Provides insight into human anatomy and disease mechanisms.

Advanced Instrumentation

Our laboratories are continuously upgraded with modern and high-end instruments to support advanced research and training. From basic analytical devices to sophisticated equipment like HPLC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometers, Dissolution Test Apparatus, and High Pressure Homogenizers, students gain exposure to the same technology used in the pharmaceutical industry. This ensures self-sufficiency in training and research at all levels, especially for M.Pharm scholars.

Fire Safety: Fire extinguishers, sand buckets, and fire alarms are installed and maintained in all laboratories.

First-Aid Facilities: A well-stocked first-aid box is available in each laboratory, along with trained staff to handle emergencies.

Chemical Storage & Disposal: Separate storage facilities for flammable and hazardous chemicals, with strict protocols for safe handling and disposal of chemical and biological waste.

Biosafety Practices: Microbiology and Biotechnology labs follow aseptic techniques and bio safety guidelines to ensure safe handling of microorganisms.
